We currently have just over 11,400 registered patients from the area to whom we provide primary healthcare needs.

Alongside the seven doctors who are the partners in the Health Centre, works a large team of Health Professionals - Nurses, Health Visitors, Speech Therapists, Counsellors, Chiropodists, Physiotherapists, Midwives - backed up by the support staff of Practice Administrators, Receptionists, Secretaries and Telephonists. Together we try to run the Health Centre as professionally and efficiently as we can, to provide our patients with the best possible standards of healthcare.

The present practice was opened in the Health Centre in 1973, being a continuation of individual practices within the Steyning & Upper Beeding areas. The Health Centre expanded in 1974 and again in 1980 and 1991, before the current, purpose-built Health Centre was opened in 2008.

The practice purchased a branch surgery in Dawn Close, Upper Beeding in 1985, greatly improving the facilities and healthcare provision for Beeding residents.

Steyning Health Centre is an experienced and dedicated teaching practice, and has over the years trained a high number of doctors in general practice, the majority of whom practice as GPs around the UK.
