Online Patient Services

Online Patient Services

If you wish to, you can now use the internet to book appointments with a GP, request repeat prescriptions for any medications you take regularly and look at your medical record online using our online patient services module SystmOnline. Our online services are managed by our system provider TPP. TPP is an NHS provider that has been accredited to ensure the necessary standards of confidentiality and securities are in place.

Registering for SystmOnline

The registration is simple - Download our internet access application form for access to online appointment booking and repeat prescription ordering, and if you additionally want access to your medical record online also fill out our application for access to online medical records form, then for security we will need you to bring the form/s into the practice with some form of photo ID before we give you a username and first password. Acceptable ID is a photo driving licence or a passport.

Parents will be able to have a username and password for their children. Similarly, carers of people with disabilities will be able to take a username and password for them.

Patient and Practice Benefit

You are now able, via our online services, to book appointments (noting that 1 ten minute appointment is for one problem only), order repeat medication and have access to a summary of your medical records (medication, allergies and sensitivities only) this saves time and allows reception staff to focus on other key areas and provide a better service to patients.

The service has proved particularly popular with busy commuters, the elderly and people with disabilities. Families with young children are welcoming the service, as children often become ill at night, and parents can put their minds at rest by booking an appointment straightaway. Then if the child feels better in the morning, the appointment can be cancelled just as easily.

*The online services will not be available whilst the nightly backups are running
