Cancer is a disease that
touches all of us in one way or another.
The ongoing search for better understanding
and treatment requires vast sums of money.
A great deal of this money
is raised by charitable events such as the
Race4Life. This national event involves
thousands of women racing, running and walking
in memory of friends loved ones, family
and colleagues.
Gill and I decided to join
the many women at the SKM course in Stanmer
park for this year's event. We did this
in memory of family and friends and three
colleagues from the Health Centre we have
lost to cancer - Diana reeve, Christine
Heath and Mary Staley.
With generous sponsorship
from the staff we raised £215. We
plan to undertake the Race4Life again next
year and raise even more money.
